HE the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmad Al-Eisa, inaugurated, on Wednesday, September 27, 2016 in Riyadh, an e- educational portal concerned with the Moslem scientists’ contributions. The event took place during the 24th conference of the GCC Ministers of Education at the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States. Their Excellency the GCC Ministers of Education, Dr. Mohammed Alzaghibi, T4edu’s CEO, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of the Education and T4edu attended the conference.

 

 

Dr. Mohammed Alzaghibi, T4edu’s CEO, stated that the “Moslem Scientists’ Contributions Portal” is an e- educational portal based on 50 contributions of the Moslem scientists where a range of scientific inventions were built on. The portal was connected to the academic syllabuses, which cover more than 12 fields such as medicine, mathematics, chemistry and others. This portal covers a period of time that started from Year 180 H up to the present. Dr. Alzaghibi pointed out that the portal aims to enhance students’ innovative capabilities and encourage their creativity. Further, it is presented in an appealing and attractive way that meets the students’ needs and promotes their curiosity and capabilities of exploration and innovation. The portal incorporates a theoretical introduction, a brief on each scientist, and video clips presented in a an appealing and scientific method. Students can also assess their knowledge through an e-self-assessment. Additionally, students may play scientific games related to knowledge as well as some hands-on activities fitting their age groups.

 

 

 

Dr. Alzaghibi also explained that this event comes as part of the T4edu’s efforts in partnership with the Ministry of Education to transform education into a digital one, where this stage was launched during the previous academic year through the National Education Portal “iEN” as part of the National Strategy Public Education Development. Further, T4edu developed more than 25 e- portals and e- educational and training applications for the benefit of teachers, administrators and all community members.

 

 Since it was launched, “iEN” portal has attracted more than 2 million users where 3,481 academic syllabuses are available for browsing or downloading through smart devices, laptops and office machines. Additionally, the portal provides 4,520 teachers’ manuals and more than 5,197 enrichment educational materials that are being updated regularly to help teachers, students and their parents to access an interactive, appealing and supporting material in the learning process.
