‘‘Our country‘s wise leaders realize the significance and major role education plays in the development of the
nation and bringing the Kingdom on a par with developed countries. Our nation’s leaders know that investment
in education is developing the capacity and capability of Saudi citizens. Hence, education receives substantial
and sustained support in the advancement of an integrated educational environment in terms of the provision
of qualified teachers, development of curricula that are appropriate to the different educational levels, and
establishment of modern schools, which contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning throughout
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the Kingdom, there are more than half a million teachers, and more than five million students. This calls for the
Ministry of Education to shoulder huge responsibilities and substantial duties towards such a vast population.
This also inspires the educational leaders in the Kingdom to achieve educational development goals based on a
profound and effective vision. The educational development goals are being achieved through utilizing advanced
educational systems that are reviewed and adjusted according to our Islamic beliefs and values. Hence, the
Kingdom is able to thrive in the Knowledge Age, and rise to the challenges in a way that meets the accelerated
educational needs at a level that goes hand in hand with the prestigious status of the Kingdom in the world.

Tatweer Company for Educational Services (T4edu) was established to actively and effectively achieve the
objectives outlined in the Strategy for Public Education Development, adopted by the Ministry of Education.
T4edu has been able to make significant progress in realizing the aspirations of the Strategy for Public Education
Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are acknowledged in T4edu’s 2016 Annual Report.

We pray to Allah for His guidance and support, and we pray our efforts will contribute greatly to the improvement
of educational outcomes and opportunities for citizens in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
