Talemia Company for Educational Services and King Abdulaziz Public Library (KAPL) have signed a memo of understanding (MOU) on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Talemia’s headquarters in Riyadh. The memo aims to boost collaboration between the two parties to implement cultural programs, support the “free Reading” initiative”, market kids’ stories publications, and reciprocate expertise between both sides.

 

The scope of bilateral collaboration will address using integrated capacities and expertise of both parties to start joint initiatives and projects in various cultural areas within the framework of cultural and social development of kids in the Kingdom. The two sides expressed their willingness to support joint projects and initiatives, and agreed to take advantage of the narrative and theatrical library stocks to support the “Free Reading” initiative. The initiative to be launched by Talemia will be a vital tributary toward making reading a national goal that contributes to the development of the perceptions of the child through the civil society institutions within the zone of social responsibility. The initiative also aims to take advantage of initiatives and market outlets belonging to KAPL in some commercial centers, airports and others, in addition to utilizing relationships, expertise and cadres of the company to serve the objectives of the two parties shared with public and private institutions, especially with the Ministry of Education.

 

Moreover, both partiers seek to collaborate in a number of projects, on top of which are the projects and initiatives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the summer holiday projects and initiatives in addition to the extracurricular activities implemented by Talemia, along with marketing the kids’ stories publications and the initiative of encouraging the target group to read.

 

Both sides also discussed the means of promoting the role of the child’s theater and conducting joint activities along with taking advantage of the infra structure of the theaters managed by KAPL and the Talemia’s programs that address theater along with utilizing the kids’ story publications as well as promoting authoring and scenario writing and kids’ theater activities.

 

This cooperation between both parties falls within the interests and responsibilities of Talemia to implement cultural programs and projects that disseminates awareness and culture among all community segments, especially kids and students.

 

Talemia provides innovative educational solutions that enable children and youth to get the best education. KAPL also provides for children a library that contains a variety of services and monthly and quarterly activities in all children’s corners. This aims to promote connection between the child and the book and make it a habit for the children to read freely in different sciences to meet  their various interests and attitudes.
